The Apprentice: Sean, You're Hired!

Yeppers, everyone knows that infamous phrase now. Well, maybe not with Sean’s name in front of it but you get my drift. It has been a truly great season for The Apprentice. Tia (wife) and I watch it faithfully every week. I say week because TiVo is my best friend. ;-) If Tia listened to my Father’s Day request I’ll have the new DT model (dual tuner) which would be GREAT! (I’ve always wanted to say this) …but I digress. :-)

Sean, I thought, did a great job throughout the competition. No one is a Randal Pinket (he was a rock star in season 4), in my opinion, but Sean was solid throughout. Until the final show I wasn’t sold on which one I felt should win. Towards the end I truly thought Sean was more fit for the job. It is late so I won’t run down my reasons why. Instead, you can read Bill Rancic’s blog here where he details a few reasons that I agree with 100%. As we know, Bill was the first winner and has been in the boardroom, on the other side this time, many times this and last season.

So…Sean, congrats! Enjoy your time with Mr. Trump and take some time for the new flame, Tammy, in your life. ;-)

American Idol: Taylor Hicks Won!

Yep, he’s the new American Idol. Shed a tear…crack a smile…get excited for Taylor! He seems very deserving of the title. He can’t dance, too well, but his soul and style overshadows all of that. Starting out with Ray Charles manerisms and ending up as the Idol who, in my opinion, transformed (or just showed the world) to a versatile performer.

Taylor, congrats and stay true to yourself and eat some fried chicken! ;-)
