Socom 3: My Best Game Yet
Last night I got down with my boy De’shon (aka ShadowMunkey) on Socom 3 and was doing terrible. Partly my terrible play was caused by this blog. :-) I couldn’t help but work on getting MTTextile and MTCodeBeautifier up and going. After too many failures I decided to focus on the game and made a pretty sweet comeback.
We were playing the small map of Boneyard and I had 2 kills until we had 3 rounds left. Meanwhile, ShadowMunkey was clowning with 12 kills. In the last 3 rounds I knocked off 7 kills and ended up with 9 total. 1 game I had 4 so I was definitely starting to get my swagger back. Well, that one ended well but it wasn’t until the next game I went off like a psych patient.
The next game we played was the best game I ever played. It was a 12 player game (6 vs 6) and I was having my normal steady games (2, 3, of 4 kill rounds) but we were trading off games so the round count was 5 to 5. It was time for us to bring it home but…uh oh…everyone is dead except me. I was pretty shocked because their entire team was alive and we weren’t too far into the game. Well, 2 of them ran downstairs where I was and ran straight into silenced gunfire so you know they were twisting, turning, and jumping trying to find me but it didn’t help. They were done. I ran up on one who wasn’t ready to fire and barrelled through him then moved upstairs where another engaged me but was taken down as well. So, things are looking good and I’m def feeling good about how I’m shooting.
It is now 2 on 1. Those odds aren’t terrible in any given situation. I almost ran right by one guy who was crouched between some boxes. Something had already told me to turn right and when I did he hesitated…bad move. It is now 1 on 1 but I can’t find the guy. I run towards their spawn point after searching the whole level and what do I see? A seal heading towards me. He wasn’t even able to put his finger on the trigger before I dropped him.
Wow…in the clutch I pulled off 6 straight kills giving me 20 on the game, the victory for the team, and the MVP. It was a great feeling. But you know what was greater? The next game…I’ll keep it brief.
ShadowMunkey met a cat named vertigo_low and he found us in the room. A new guy none of us knew (.H..e..e..z..y. is how I think he spelled it) came on too. We couldn’t use sniper rifles but we could use M16’s. It was my first time using one but I must say it grew on me big time. M16+high scope = automatic sniper rifle. The best part of this whole game was our communication. We called out every single terrorist we saw, their location, told the foot soldiers which side to attack from, and watched each other’s back. This was by far the greatest game I was a part of. We are definitely looking to recruit heezy and vertigo_low to our clan (ShadowClique). Heezy was MVP with something like 18 kills. I had 13 but was only 4 points way from an MVP tie (points were higher because of less deaths, killl types, etc).
If you play Socom 3 hit me up. I’m known as ShadowTactics.
